Question Ashes to rocks. Would you do this?
(disclaimer: i don't read every thread, so this might be old, but I didn't know that so bugger off )

Lifegem will recover the carbon from a cremated body (human/dog/cat/etc) and turn it into lab created diamond(s) for a price.

I think having a diamond to remember someone by is a good idea. A pet, a person, it all works. Gives you something tangeable to remember a person by, and what better then to use something as brilliant as a diamond?


edit: Could also be awesome death threats, giving someone a diamond from a corpse.

When i was looking for other info on lifegem last night, i ran across this site : Alternative Burials with E C O P O D : The recycled paper coffin of the future.. now farther into the site you learn that: "Strong and light the Ecopod weighs only 14 kilos. At this time there is only one size Pod available. This will comfortably carry a person of up to 5'10", and weight of up to 15 stone."

Does a dead person really care how comfortable they are?
