As something radically different from standard Eurovision fare it deserves a listen.

Absolutely Brilliant.
If I hadn't already promised to vote for lithuania, that'd get my vote (never even voted in Eurovision before)
The video is also class++

That song is superb. It gets my non-existent vote.

The video is even worse.
This is the best eurovision entry for many many years.
Also, the intro reminds me of Alice Cooper - Poison

Re: The Finnish Eurovision entry
why are the lyrics in English
edit: it's a decent song. It isnt especially original but its catchy enough and far better than most of the shit that goes into eurovision.

Because they're not required to sing in their own language (anymore?), so they find it easier to win by singing in english I guess.

Re: The Finnish Eurovision entry
Usually we get about one to zero points. But now, for the first time ever, we win.
On the other hand there was an interview about some finnish 'boss' who was going to organize the Eurovisions in Finland next time, if finns were going to win. And he said that they don't have the money to organize the next Eurovisions so... we'll see what happens.

Wasn't it a couple of years ago that Iceland was so scared of winning the Eurovision because they couldn't afford hosting it?

I'm not a real Eurovision fan, so I don't have the slightest clue really.
I hope they'll get it working in some way.

Nor am I... hehe.. Eurovision is a ridiculous show for artists who can't get famous elsewise imo. I'm sure it was better before (in the 80's) when there were some class over it.

Back in the 90s Ireland won it three times in a row and it cost us money each time. I remember because the next year we sent along the worst entry imaginable in a bid not to win it.

That has to be mismanagement though, surely. For all it is tacky is does get significant media coverage europe-wide.

Back then though it wasn't telephone voting, it was jury stuff so there was no revenue from phone or text voting. Methinks that's the main source of money these days, so we missed out.
Though they realise this with all those stupid band competition shows we seem to have now.
And I think they are still deliberatly sending terrible entrys over, Brian 'Pork Pie Porker' Kenndy and his crappy little ballad?! C'mon, it's Father Ted all over.
P.s. this is one of the funniest looking images I've seen in quite a while heh.
