New Research: Cap-Rate

Suggesting to implement a new research path: CAP-RATE

I dont think the current system with value/score and caprate should be changed, but limited to e.g. 5% in the beginning.

max 5% = Starting Caprate
max 10%
max 15%
max 20%
max 25%

why?
Because it seems to me, that LUCK is a huge factor in the very beginning of the round. Too Huge
With limiting the caprate, even if you galaxy has incomings the first 3 nights in a row, you still stand a chance to do good or well you dont fall back behind as fast as atm.

Re: New Research: Cap-Rate

If your galaxy has incomings out of protection, 3 nights in a row, then apparently you have a lot of roids. No one attacks a galaxy that isn't fat.

In any case, low cap rates will just encourage everyone to init to 500 and do nothing for the first 5 days.

So he gave them the coy little wave and realized it probably would have been more effective if he hadn't been lying on their turkey.

Re: New Research: Cap-Rate

If there was such a research it would have to be way smaller variances like

20%/21%/22%/23%/24%/25%
or
15%/17%/19%/21%/23%/25%

this would however boost cat alot and make xan worse which would in return be somewhat put into consideration when stat making (or change the race bonuses)
and with lower than 25% cap rates initting becomes better but I don't know if it will be a problem (at 5% ofc it would)

Which would encourage other people to research cap rate and 3 fleet.

I'm not sure how you can criticise either of those two outcomes, when early tech paths such as bank hacking are less contributive to a dynamic early round.

Re: New Research: Cap-Rate

There are already fluent cap rates in the game based on value. If you got roided down the first night then more than likely your attackers are not going to cap 25% from you the next night. The game isn't ruined if you get attacked the first 3 nights out of protection, you can be on 0 roids or 100/200 roids and still do perfectly fine overall. The only thing that really matters is that you get xp before you grow too much, and the first few nights can be perfect for that. (assuming you are going for max score possible)
