Christmas
Is it just me or does it not feel like Christmas at all yet :/
I mean usually at this time of the year it starts to feel somewhat 'festive' .

Yea, I know what you mean. Usually I'd be singing "I'm dreaming of a white christmas" or "let it snow" around now. But this year... no...

Re: Christmas
Christmas is shit. But I always get the feeling that it's less festive than the year before, and I've had that as long as I can remember.

Re: Christmas
A non-christmas avatar that can be christmasified will suffice. (so preferably something with a head that a santa-hat can go on)

Re: Christmas
I don't like the build up to Christmas but I love the happy feelings you get on Christmas Eve and Christmas day when you get to give gifts to your loved ones and spend quality happy times with them.
Thats what I love about Christmas. The feelings you get on Christmas Eve and Day.
The ones I get now are simply reminants from when I was a child or teenager and I fear I may lose them if I don't try to experience them each year, which is what makes Christmas a nice time.
Coupled with I live next door to a public house so the opportunity for getting into a fight at some point is exponentially increased.

Re: Christmas
people usually laugh at the fact i get excited about christmas in the first week of november.
however this year i dont feel at all 'festive' in the slightest.
this is most probably something to do with a portion of my 'life' caving in and going pearshaped so all i can summise is that if life has gone to the dogs then you dont look forward to things like christmas too much....whereas if everything is pretty much a-ok you do.

Re: Christmas
btw if the mods imposed the xmas forum settings in all their lurid 'thou shall be jolly' green and redness it might feel more xmasy.

Yeah. And the fact that you always have a little cousin begging you to let him play your latest computer game. This year it'll probably be half life 2. Last year it was GTA. I should beat him more.
