doom3 (just to check if its worth buying, i would never do illegal things)
but for some strange reason it wont accept my 2nd cd. i that some sort of copy-protection, did i download a somehow corrupted image-file or am i just too damn stupid?
what can i do about it?

extract both cd's and if the installation asks you to put in cd 2. instead putting cd 2 in the drive you give the folder in which you extract the files of cd 2.
dont know if that will work

I downloaded it before I bought it and I had no problems with it. I used daemon tools to mount it and install it, so I'm guessing copy protection isn't the issue. Likewise if the image burned/mounted OK, it can't be corrupt. Maybe the guy who made the image you downloaded was a tit?
