I've just got FireFox
yes that's right, i've just this minute installed firefox because i didn't really like Opera (please don't hate me Leshy ) and i wanted something more secure than IE. However, i rather liked the look of IE and would like you wonderful people of GD to point me to a skin that will make my FireFox look like IE. also, while your at you could also point me to any handy Plug-ins and explain what they do. Thanks

Re: I've just got FireFox
Have you tried customizing Opera? I know it looks like shit if you don't remove all unnecessary toolbars and stupid skins! No, I can't imagine anyone not liking opera...

Re: I've just got FireFox
Going out of your way to emulate the IE "experience" amuses me somewhat.

Re: I've just got FireFox
Firefox is pretty similar to IE though in a lot of ways.
What is it you want to get back - I mean, what are the main things? The look, the feel, what?

I'm merely curious as to what about Opera it was you didn't like, considering your current request would be very easy there

Re: I've just got FireFox
The Ability to use the mouse scroll wheel as comfortably as you could while using IE would be nice.

Leshy once again demolishes all competition for Opera in a single post.
Why don't you start working for them or something?
You seem to love Opera more than Sunday loves Columbia.

Re: I've just got FireFox
Sunday hit the nail right on the head. the fact that the scroll bit on my touchpad just didn't work with Opera got me rather pissed off. i actually really wanted to love Opera, but i just didn't like it. it just didn't feel right to me. FireFox on the other hand, somehow feels right to me

Re: I've just got FireFox
The standard Firefox skin is pretty ugly, I use Mostly Crystal with small icons, I think it's pretty.
At the risk of incurring Leshy's wrath, I also prefer Firefox to Opera, once you get the extensions you want in it just feels, more comfortable.
There's a huge list of themes here.

Re: I've just got FireFox
Everyone has their personal preference, that's completely fair. If you decide Firefox feels better for you, then by all means stick to it. It's just that it'd be a shame if you moved away from Opera for something that can be easily fixed

Re: I've just got FireFox
I'm experimenting with FireFox at the moment, it's definately much nicer than Opera but has a long way to go before I'd considering replacing IE.
Anyway I did find this site which makes it a little more IE like and should do more or less as you were after.

RSS feeds, news and world peace. Something a browser does need is skinning. In fact, I'd like to refer anyone who defends skinning of applications to the audio cock website.
