Middle Names Thread
I found out I have a middle name today while looking for my birth certificate. My dad/mum never told me what it was but now I found out it's Paul - kind of disappointed...
Wanting suggestions for replacements - btw can I legally change my name and surname? I want to go for a wierd name like Alfred Blasphbottom

Re: Middle Names Thread
Perhaps with the new wave of advertising opportunities that have sprung up recently theres a market for changing your name to a well known product for oodles of cash and world fame.

Re: Middle Names Thread
You can easily change your name by deed poll.
However, if you want an interesting name, you'll have to do quite well to outdo John George Charles Henry Alton Alexander Chetwynd Chetwynd-Talbot, Richard Plantagenet Campbell Temple-Nugent-Brydges-Chandos-Grenville, or John Francis Hamilton Sinclair Cunliffe Brooks Forbes Goodeve-Erskine.

I'd assume that anyone who introduced themselves as "Charley" was actually called Charles, and I can't imagine I'm only person in the world who would.

Re: Middle Names Thread
Well let me put it like this, everybody thinks my registrated name is Charley, maybe in brittain it's more common to be called Charles but over here people are sometimes rather surprised that my official name is Charles.

I don't have a middle name and I am thankful of that every day. Mst middle names are crappy, or pathetic at best. It is something I can easily live without.

Re: Middle Names Thread
Joel. I don't believe in middle names especially that one, so whenever anything (drivers licence, bank, educational institutions etc) ask for it I just don't write one and I don't think anywhere important has it on record any more.

Seeing as this thread seems to have changed from "suggest middle names for me" to "what are your middle names?", mine are Michael and Patrick.

Mine is Rhodri, it's Welsh I refused to learn to spell it for ages as it was a sucky name, I had a lucky escape, it was going to be my first name but my cousin who was born a month before me stole it, drama ensued.

I don't even use my full last name on anything. Infact other than my drivers license I don't have my full last name recorded anywhere.
Oh and surely if you want a name change you just see the local registrar of births, deaths & marriages to register a new one.
We had a local re-register himself as 'Mr Shaun' full title.

It's hardly "some strange reason". "St John" as a name is always pronounced "Sinjun".
