While you are forced to do so within the constraints of the forums software, interfering with the proper function of the forums is bannable. Someone (Starbucks) seems to think that as long as you're posting every 60 seconds, it's perfectly ok to post complete and utter ****. This is incorrect.

SO: for all you rules lawyers out there. This is NOT a court of law where you can get by on a technicality. If you're being a ****head, its all but certain that a mod will nail you for it. We don't care if you're "only" posting every 60 seconds or not. Our job is to keep these boards readable, and 2 pages of spam is not readable.

And ofc, if you have a problem, take it up with JJ. He's easily reachable via PM. Posting porn links (and not even good porn at that) will get you banned and your opinion ignored, as obviously you don't have the maturity to have a valid opinion to begin with.

If a thread doesn't interest me, I don't post in it, and don't bother reading it again - quite a few people would do well to do the same, rather than posting in it just for the sake of posting. Your view of what is crap spam is obviously different to mine, but you are in no position to guess at what doesn't interest me, or judge that I'm so narrow minded I can't differentiate between shít and not shít.
At the end of the day, it's all opinion, if you have that shiny +o, then what you say goes and it's tough shít if you don't like it, or go see JJ, which is exactly what the rules say. I can honestly say that I care, I didn't expect it, and I definitely didn't deserve banning.

Id just like to mention, that all I did was what MrL_Jakari does every day, the only difference being that I made the threads that I spammed in, rather than Mark, who just does it to everyone elses.

Karmulian claimed to be a spammer, hence getting banned when these forums were first used. On a separate occasion he explained the reason why no one could remember him during the ‘early days’, was that he was an inactive forums member.

These two are mutually exclusive; it's obvious that he is a devious liar and this has been conclusively shown on a previous occasion. I’m still unsure why he still holds a position of power, any reason he will give is going to be unsatisfactory.

People remember names, the issue regarding reg dates isn't important. It's just I don't want a compulsive liar with power over the forums.

As i did not witness the occurence, and thus did not read the threads, im really in no position to talk about this spesific incident.

BUT, in my humble opinion, i think that covering the boards in spam is not good. I won't say this was spam or not, but i've spammed enough in my day to have lost the appetite for it. It is useless, stupid and should not be allowed to live. Comedy spam is one thing, bad spam is another.
That said, a very nice person should also stop spamming, as the person is not that nice always. Or rather, some of the things he's posting is utter rubbish.
The law should be equal. I still think he's a really good chap, but at least tell people to stop before things goes out of hand.

Now, as i don't know this episode, i can't comment too much, but a little forum drama once in a while is good. It ligthens up the spirit, gives the mods something to do while giving the posters something to complain about. But think about this, if you "hate" the mods or "dislike" the posters, if you think nothing funny or interesting is going on here, if the only people you like here are on irc, msn, or sa anyways, why keep coming back? At the end of the day, most people here i like. That says, i actually think i like all the persons here. And i belive most off you other do. Or else, why come back?

We are a community, the mods, the spammers, everybody. Banning somebody is not the sollution, (exept in really rare cases) as we all are these forums. We are this community together, no matter who you hate.
Give them something other. Ban them to rp for two months. Give them a 120 second limit. Change their avatar to "stupid ****" in big red letters for two weeks.
I do not belive in banning. But that's just me.
