Oh, but I'm not in any way referring to the quality of the book which, for all I know could be marvelous and the next goldmine to be. I was more talking about the kind of people that venture to such occasions. You know, the bookwurms. Dress ordinary and you'll be fine. Unless ofcourse you plan on hitting on that genius of a writer, in which case I advise you to wear Muslims tight leather clothes.

Wear a dress.
It is a pity this very feminine article of clothing is so under appreciated these days...

The red suit for the mans commitment to the social democracy and the pink tie as a sweet reminder of injustices yet to be combatted.
Think of all the inquiring looks.

From experience, Tony Benn public speaking events are filled with all sorts, so it doesn't matter. I was generally dressed like a dirty student (being one at the time) but there are suits there too.

Skate clothes
Hoodies
Anti-Bush apparel :
However, that's my personal opinion on clothing in general. It really doesn't matter though. A few lunatics always show up to these things, you can just pretend to be one of them.

This sounds like one of Saffi's egocentric posts where she;
"...rushes into the room in a black asymmetric dress, eyes flaring with blue sparks, hair cut short to the shoulder, every eye in the room turns towards here mind-numbing beauty blah blah blah.."

I think theyre great. Everybody thinks all graffiti-people are 14-year old kids whit hoodies and baggy pants, (beacause most are) and thats a huge advantage.
Besides, they're good in demos, in the rain, and as a tool for scarying old ladies.

i) It's too black.
ii) It look stupid.
iii) It's for people, as Nod implied, that wish to cover their face and/or hair. Why would I want that?
iv) It really look stupid.
Of course, you young people with your "hip hop" music, and your "basketball" probably feel differently. But I've no need to scare old women, since I don't rob liquor stores.

Hoodies desplaying random words like "Wachowgo" and "TwoA" are the best!
Nobody ever wears them with the hood up anyway, unless they have a baseball cap on underneath.
