im scared
sooner or later ill leave the school/college that i have spent 7 years of my life at and never see it again + ill lose half my freinds and my entire life will have to change..

im getting older... one day ill be old and unfit and wrinkly and ugly

then one day ill die

change scares me


anyone else have this problem???

I had it... Even like 6 months before I actually left school. Which enabled me a different view on all the people / the building etc. I had plenty of time to "say good bye" in my mind.
Sadly it's all true about some of the friends etc.

The worst thing is that it's hard to get "below people" once you're out of school. The only regular event where I meet lots of young people of my age is friday evening, when I go to orchestra rehearsal.
Apart from that: You only get to know young people (or meet them) in discos, clubs, pubs. Also your friends of course. But not the usual load of people. You know, when you walk accross the schoolyard and half the people you walk by say hello to you...

That's a bit of what I miss.

Still, life can also get better!

I panicked the first 3 months of senior year in highschool then I realized most of the people who studied with me were crap, and the only ones that i would miss would still be around me somehow, and then i went to college and it rocks....

University was shit,school was shit,waste of fking time.
I was apprehensive about life,had no job after graduation. Couldnt get one,there are too many IT pro's around and not enough jobs. No expereience ment no chance of interview. Catch 22 situation.

I ended up at home,worried about everything. Got a job in Dell as a line monkey and its cheered my up no end. Im getting something done for once. Im doing things with my hands and Im good at it. Its not for long but it managed to clear away all those hideous doubts about wether I'd be able to go out and work.

I panicked about wether I'd be able to cope with the change. With the idea of having to go out into the real world was scarey. Pffh it doesnt matter now,you either sink or swim and most people swim.

Try not to worry about it much,but once your doing it you'll be ok.

Just deny everything,cover your ears and blindly go on with your work until its graduation and you cant worry about it anymore

Nope, wasn't a problem as the 6th form I went to was on the same campus (was actually part of the same school). It worked out quite well really, seeing as most of the "shit" people who you never really wanted to be around anyway didn't make it to 6th form, so you had more time with people you wanted to spend time with.
Yeah a few went off to other 6th forms / colleges, but they still lived where they'd always lived and went to the same bars etc.

After 6th form was worse, but thanks to the "MSN revolution" i still talk to most people (yes my contacts list is stupidly long) and there's always mobiles + txt for anyone who's not caught up with the current centuary and is without the internet.

Sixth form was generally ace. Uni was ace in other ways, but I didn't really see my friends for a bit.

I still see my friends that I've known for years, so no problems there. Everything would still be ace, but I have to work.

I'm having quite a lot of fun atm (aside from work), but I'm mildly depressed about aging. Still, only 23, plenty of damage I can do to myself emotionally & physically yet!

at 23, i am still in contact with EVERYONE from school that i wanted to be in contact with, and my social circle is STILL increasing in size as my group makes new friends, so, no, i havent found this at all.
