Terminator, but Robocop was still good. Robocop was vaguely comedy/satire (the ads were brilliant) though, whereas Terminator (1 & 2) was more serious.

Try reading the graphic novels.
Terminator Wins ..... until you realise that putting a human mind into a machine and allowing it free reign (The terminators use the Alex Murphy Mind/Machine meld as a prototype to develop their own cybernetic intelligence) will result in the human mind adapting to its new environment and perverting it faster than the machine (developed by a less integrated human mind) can adapt.
The end result is that 20 years later, the "Human" Virus in Skynet produces an army of near invincible Robocops with terminator Weaponry and access to a time platform.
End Result : John Connor couldnt have done it better himself!

How so? The storyline wasn't particularly more simplistic than Robocop was it?
If anything, I'd say the time-travel/ethics of Terminator (mainly two perhaps) put it above Robocop, intellectually speaking.

I found Robocop to be "deeper ". The thought behind it, to me, surpassed that of Terminator, which I found to just be an exciting display of special effects, of which the plot was secondary.

Terinmator seemed more real. Robocop, while not bad, had a very tacky feel to it.

The Original Robocop was a satire on a possible future Corporate America , and was skilfully directed by Verhoeven along those lines.
Of course it had to look "Tacky" in places. Tacky is standard issue in the USA.

Demolition Man? Time Cop was a compleltey different and much worse film. Demolition Man was pretty cool, going further down the satire route of Robocop.
And Judge Dread (the film) was crap.

Terminator 2
Robot man goes back in time to stop himself being created, thus he is unable to go back in time to stop himself being created and therefore he goes back in time and stops himself being created ........................................................................ back in time ..................................................... created .......................... stops ........................................ etc.
Umm, they didn't really think about the plot too well did they?

Robot man goes back in time to stop himself being created. He is successful and the world is saved. Is this too hard to understand?
Terminator > All. Robocop was in no way sexually attractive.

It's theoretically impossible for any of the Terminator's to still have been around after the destruction of the Cyberdine building.

Terminator drove a harley, used a shotgun and had the music "Bad to the Bone" playing in the original movie after he destroyed the bar. Robocop drove a police-car, used a pistol and had feelings. I rest my case.
PS Wesley Snipes in Demolition Man was cool as well.

oh come on, it's a painfully simple paradox:
you go back in time, kill your grandfather before your grandma is pregnant with your dad. your dad is never born and then you are never born to go back in time to kill your grandfather, so your grandfather lifes, dad is born, you are born to go back in time and kill your grandfather ad infinitum.

What do you mean, 'meant to be'? I can understand when they say Star Wars or Matrix is just a lead-in to the next episode, but the Terminator series can't pull that excuse off.

Alternate universes, n00b. Kill your grandpa, all you do is create a new timeline that doesn't involve you. You, however, are still sitting pretty.

I go back in time, kill my grandfather before my grandma is pregnant with my dad. My dad is never born and I am never born. Sun rise, sun set. So, do I have to go back in time twice to kill myself? Isn't once enough?

Thank you for in one line resolving the grandfather paradox, which is one of the central arguments (well, paradoxes in general) around the possibility of Time Travel.

Empirical evidence ta.

May I congratulate the n00b who fell into the first and bloody obvious pit in the debate about time travel.
p.s The best arguement against Robocop is......Robocop 2

oh yeah, why didn't I say that?
oh I know..... because travelling to another universe isn't time travel, it's called "travelling to another universe"
and as MrL said

hell no, did you ever see the film they made for the series?
"shall I shoot these people in the head like I usually do, no, I will shoot a piece of wire and trap him under some metal instead"
and didn't it anoy anyone how in the game, you couldn't shoot the man in the balls through the women's dress like in the film?

Unfortunately I did. I alter my eairler statement:
The second bestarguement against robocop is robocop 2.
And I played the game before I saw the film and so didn't even attempt to shoot through the skirt
