Yes TV does matter. I have probably made my point very badly on that one. My point was never trying to be that TV doesn't matter, it is too much on an influence, even down to what people discuss on their coffee break at work - it's probably what happened in Eastenders/Coronation Street/Random Other Soap last night. The point was meant to be that people need to be a little bit more cluey (does such a word exist?) and not believe everything the media tells them. But then the vast majority of GD are intelligent people (compared to a lot of the people I come across) and know this anyway. The media does play a large part in forming peoples views and opinions, and while I appreciate the influence in some ways, I just wish people would stop, think, think some more and then think some more again before blindly believing what the newspaper/news/current affairs programme tells them.
