Housing Problem!
At the current point in time, there be two options.
1. house that's too big, a tad expensive but city centre
2. or one that's 4 miles away up a big hill in a region that may be dodgy but is about 3/5 the price pm.
WHICH ONE!
Of course, if anyone wants to rent a place in durham then all the problems are over <3

House in city centre... find a few mates who want to share it with you and split the cost. Shops just around the corner, though it might be a bit noisy in the evenings.
The four miles for the house on hill option shouldn't be a big problem, but the "dodgy region" wouldn't make me feel comfortable.
Ofcourse, it's still your choice

Should've sorted it a lot earlier than now. But i'd get the house in city centre and get some mates so that you can split the cost as was said earlier.

Could you share with a stranger? (e.g. ad in local newspaper, etc)
I'd personally go for the expensive house, you'll only spend any spare money on gin anyway.

A larger house is generally preferable as you'll always have the option of letting it out with corresponding reduction in communal bills, etc.
In other news, I'm moving to a bigger and better house in a month. Yay.

Imagine the price difference per day and decide whether you would rather pay that much money to live in the expensive house instead of the cheap house for a day or whether you would rather spend the money on Pernod.

I actually prefer 'Historical Materialist Scum' actually.
And the chick is some random internet type. My wife is not about 15, and does not look anything like that!

I was going to live in a tin bath (<3 nod), but we've managed to find a very nice house in suburbia for a reasonable cost. It's also about 20 yards away from where I'm living now, so we can mooch food and the like. Assuming we can get the house, but it was still available today, so I don't see why we can't as we're going into Durham first thing tomorow. If that fails, there's a couple more nice places available, but for more and not quite as good imo.
