Re: Christmas round: heated debate
You both have a very narrow definition of what "skill" is in PA and what isn't. You both seem to think that the ability to gather supporters isn't something worth admiring. Meanwhile, in round 39, the battle for top spot ended because one of the two contenders was unable to think further ahead than "they attack us, we attack them". Think on that.
By the way, "lol ur a mod but ur posts sux" comments are really making me yawn. Thus, I thank you, because it's past midnight and I want to go to bed.

It takes skill to nap the universe, i think there's only afew players capable of such a task.

Re: Christmas round: heated debate
How is it skill to say lets get a huge group of players together and smash everyone in a round where the object was to fight in smaller numbers? It is just ruining and removing the fun for the majority of those playing. Its like havoc with Factory - its now the most pointless thing to play because instead of small bands of players attacking each other and competing you have 80 highly active guys farming the universe and then everyone gives up after 2 days
Looking at my cluster channel and gal channel for xmas round now says that has happened in this round too.
Thank you ruiners, you make pa worth paying for!!!

Political skill has always been important. You can have the worst planet but wield a tremendous amount of power through being able to persuade and organise people. In this kind of round I'm not sure why people bothered, but they valued it enough to want to win it like that I guess, so it's hard to criticise.
The problem that we have, particularly in a small universe is that these big naps, even between two alliances are effectively the same as the old blocks that used to stagnate play and make the game a zero contest. While everyone wants to win, people need to be conscientious of this.

Re: Christmas round: heated debate
maybe there should be 2 PA, one for the people who like to nap everybody and bash the lowbies... call it "Classic PA" and 1 PA for people who want to fight one on one (no ally, small 5 planets gals...) call it "PA Tournament".
Everybody would be happy.

Maybe that will work in magical pony land. In fact, go there and try it out. Be sure not rush it.

You're forgetting about those who like adding farms and "support planets"
Who are polluting the quality of the universe. :P

Re: Christmas round: heated debate
It's a close call between which is more irritating, pointlessly retarded levels of over-blocking or whining gimps moaning about over-blocking.
Paisley's endless complaining about non-existent support planets and farms would probably be the single most cringe-inducing thing that I end up having to read about every round though.

LOL @ "Magical Pony Land"
anyhow.... I started the Christmas round late, ended up stuck in a random galaxy with inactives, I had no chance from the get go, to have any success...constantly attacked with no hope of defense, which meant I never had the opportunity to build up and be able to actually attack someone, or cause a defense problem for them... all that said.. it's a free Christmas/Winter round... Quit Whining

Re: Christmas round: heated debate
paisley, even if there are some each round, they mean **** all in the big picture of things.
You can farm a farm a couple of times, but its just as easy to farm / roid people in shit gals. If someone want to setup farms, let them. It wont affect a thing.
And, support planets who cant really defend you anyway? No paisley, farms / multies / support planets are really of no importance.

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
This is certainly a joke right? Right? Did Lars write that post? You can't honestly tell me you believe that crock of shit. Even if you only attack the farm a couple of times, it gives you free roids for a boost towards the meat of the round. Obviously, the stronger the start and better opportunity people have to build a solid foundation for the remainder of the round, the better off you'll be. I have a very hard time believing that farms/multies/support planets aren't of importance.

Re: Christmas round: heated debate
I landed 100% of my attacks this round til pt 400 or so?
Really doubt people had a problem getting roids from random gals. So yes, they mean **** all. Also shouldnt be too hard in this smal universe to find multies I would guess.

The colour of the sky is not relevant to PA the issue with multis is.
(You would expect better from a forum MOD)
It is a pish attempt to avoid the question...
With regards to Wishy / nolez's post
These planets are created to give the main planets a tactical advantage.

If you can't figure out that I was pointing out that your question was irrelevant to my point you're even stupider than I thought. And considering I thought you were really, really, really stupid anyways this makes you, uh, really, really, really, really stupid I guess.
I'm not a mod either by the way and I haven't been one for like two years. That said I wouldn't expect any really, really, really, really stupid people to notice something like that so you're forgiven on that count.

Where did I do that? Who doesnt acknowledge that there are a couple of farms each round?
Thing is, you claim they make a massive impact on the round, when they dont.
I really doubt JBG thinks that there are 0 farms.

You fail to understand. Not surprising considering you seem to have all the insight of an alpaca trying to raise a family in the sahara. The non-existent farms/support planets I'm talking about are the ones you seem to think have an actual impact on how the round progresses. Because, quite simply, they don't exist. If you still can't understand me don't bother responding. I'd only ignore you because I doubt anyone else reading the forums is still stupid enough to miss my point.

Shit people at PA have 2 excuses why they are shit:
1. The others cheat
2. The others have no life
I m just going to give you all a 3rd option to consider.
3. I m shit.
