I think your wrong, I think you take them for 28 days then off for a week. You can carry on taking them but its bad for you.

There are different types. Some are 3 weeks of pills, one week off like you describe (21 days, not 28 though). Some are 4 weeks of pills but one week is a placebo. Some are taken continuously. Etc.
