Good speach Greaper.

The problem is every idea to help new people gets shot down and flamed in order to get the one suggesting such to look like he would be the one needing that feature and tbh, who cares even they would.

Anyway this group of people tend to make it hard for any new player, unless admins can look beyond and make their own desisions of needed features and guides. How ever I dont think we have a one single admin team member with any vision to change the game.

I think omac would even pay someone for coding some new stuff and making it easier for new joiners. Hence it will most likely increase their income in long run.
