I've never seen a big reason to want to be remembered. Ofcourse I would expect my family and such to remember me and I hope it is good and inspires them to be good and better people. In part I would hope I left inspiration on others to be better also. But as a religious person I don't care about being 'remembered' just about living a good life that please God so that in the next life I will be happy and good etc.
