It's like causality.

The question "why did the woman die" could be answered "because her heart stopped pumping blood".

Or it could be answered "because she was hacked to pieces by a crazed maniac with an axe who thought she was satan in the flesh".

Which explanation is more informative and useful is fairly self-evident. And unfortunately you shall now be on your own as I'm going to bed.
