The alliance recruitment forum is simply not enough, ingame recruitment tools barely exist. Alliances bring people together, they should be given decent ways of recruiting and handling their players. Go through everything an alliance needs to be run efficiently and give them all the tools they need.

I assume any techies the alliances have play a role here, as they know best what the alliances need and use and might even have ready codes to share.
I assume there should be atleast some info behind an alliance name telling where people are applying/joining and what are worth joining. Option to show closed/open recruitment.
Simple text fields to determine alliance and their public IRC channels.
Perhaps even some colours telling what sorta players are accepted.
ie.
Red: Recruitment closed.
Green: Recruitment open for all.
Orange: Recruitment limited to experienced players.
Yellow: Recruitment open for only friends/old members/invited players.
Blue: Recruitment open for only new players.
An option to officially invite players inside your alliance, ingame.
Perhaps give each alliance even each player or gc a blog to write to about events of the round, perhaps allow pasting saved battles there and so on. This would give people a lot to do in between ticks to read about battles, hows everyones round went so far and to follow up politics. Or allow some journal entries made public, as we allready have such an option over there.
Perhaps give individuals profiles to make.
Give GCs option to contact "officially" alliances, to offer noobs in their gal to be trained, ask for naps information or what ever u can trade or discuss with an HC of an alliance. Perhaps offer your gal to join an alliance, now when priv gals are back for a round atleast.
