True I guess, but then I could probably trust those friends not to rat me out if I did circumvent the ban. But yeah, the game would be less fun if I had to hide from everyone.

On a sidenote, rul3r just tells me ip banning wouldn't work at all on germans, because they all have dynamic ip addresses, and I'm sure there's other countries that have the same.
