The first argument is fair, the second one would apply to everyone though.

Also, the "hard to send def without an alliance" argument seems odd when 1:3 received the most alliance defense out of all the galaxies. But if you have the most incomings it's not that strange to have sent (almost) the least out of galaxy defense.
