Ohh...I find that period interesting, I tend to like the glamour at the French court. Like Louis XIV, and the cardinals Richeliu and Mazarin. I also enjoyed the novel series about Angelique, unfortunatly only the volumes 1 - 10 out of the total 15 has been translated to my language.

Workmonkey: You could ofc include other historical novels from earlier periods. I think i'm gonna start reading the Templar series by Jan Guillou. Also I've read some classics like Robin Hood and Ivanhoe. But please don't include any books written on rhymes, like the divine comedy by Dante.

Elfhelm: I will check out Sharpe. And btw, Hornblower did fight
