Thank you, at the time we were unaware of the euphemism (which we some what dispute the validity of the evidence that it is a euphemism) and the post on urban dictionary did not even exist. Is to to be standard practice from now on to use user submitted content websites to judge what is offensive? I would assume that a single post on any old web forum would have similar validity.
Although this is not the full story, we were contacted by the PA team saying we would have to change our name. We explained we were unaware of the double entendre but would change it if they insisted. We came up with "hippo pugilism". We felt the use of old words would avoid modern slang giving it an alternative meaning. We checked on google and urban dictionary and found no results which could really be considered offensive. The PA team then OKed it as acceptable. An hour later without telling us of giving us the option of selecting the name they changed our name to "Meerkat Manor". Now we are stuck playing under a tag we do not want to be part of. If we want to change our name we have to take the penalties involved in leaving tag and setting up a new one for something we feel is in no way in breech of the rules. We also feel aggrieved that they initially checked and said our second name is fine then gave us no option to select another after deciding their own original judgement was wrong.
We have received no official explanation from the PA team as to what is wrong with the second name, no option to select our own name to play under in a game many of us pay to play. We have seen logs pasted from #multihunters at the time which suggest that someone used reductio ad absurdum to find fault with the name. Then proceeded to attack their egos by saying we were making fools of them.
