No offense, but some of you seem to be somewhat retarded. You buy a new car, look in the glove compartment, it comes with something called a "manual." Typically, that manual is a guidance for maintenance and such. Never once have I seen a manual dictate the RULES of the road. Those rules are found in the driving rulebooks, issued by each state, at least here in the US.
The argument fails when people say "it wasn't in the manual!" precisely because the manual is a tool for guidance, not the law.
