They were also the days when the front page was full of threads posted in that day.
These gimmick accounts are
so obvious that they aren't doing any harm. They aren't funny either but they're hardly making the forum a worse place.

That's not what I meant... Posting porn is obviously zero tolerence and getting a suspension for being a twat on a "serious" forum is hardly suprising...
A ban for not being funny is a bit different...

This moderation queue thing sounds interesting, but the problem here is that the PA forums need instant access for new players who signup with help queries that can sometimes be quite urgent. We'd also have to change the moderator structure a fair bit, depending on how this queue would be implemented. Certainly in the other place there aren't as many restrictions on how the forums need to be run.

This is obviously off-topic but it was pretty simple to implement iirc.
Any thread made by a user with less than 5 posts containing certain words or a link has to be approved by a moderator before it's visible to everyone.
But yeh - that's for you guys to discuss...
