This is such a stupid argument, I wish people would stop using it.
a) Not everyone is playing for #1, so they have no reason not to attack/land vs Benneh
b) There are people that are attacking his galaxy exclusively for his benefit
c) Dedicating your own fleet movements solely to prevent someone from winning, hindering your own chances in the process, is not something you can expect anyone to do.
His strategy is working out because people simply can't (nor should they) resist free roids, and his galaxy is full of those! Stopping it would require a hundred plus people that aren't going to win anyway to act against their own interests.
