It's a great strategy actually to not get into specific debates about your claims. You'll get broiled up into details, get distracted and side tracked, and come out looking worse off for it. Right now if someone were only to read Travler's posts, and not anyone else's you'd think he was doing a good job of holding his own. It's actually a (now famous) strategy used in politics by Karl Rove. So even though Travler is incorrect on just about every point, his own steadfast denial of it and refusal to jump into debates about details is working for him. You see what we have here is a divided forum. Some people steadfastly support Travler, and others are opposed. His supporters are going to support him regardless of whether he's right or not about issues, but they might distance themselves from him if he starts stumbling all over himself, maybe. It's like Karl Rove says: if you get on the defensive, you've already lost.
