The Fall of Medemesh

The land burns. Day after day smoke rises from the ruined soil. Once proud and rich cities lay desolate and in ruins. The vast walls that surrounded them are broken. Fallen castles form the tombs of their defenders. Buildings crumble and fall. The once loud and busy streets lay quiet and empty. The bodies of the dead litter the roads and doorways.

Foul creatures run amok across the land, while their slaves toil the now dead soil. A foul stench of death and decay clogs the lungs of those who still live.

But it was not always like this.

Once, this vast land was rich and prosperous. Many people worked its fertile soils and ate the fruits of their labour. Cities were fair to behold. The people were happy.

The Kingdom of Medemesh, which covered nearly the entire known continent, had a long and brutal history. Its lands were conquered in fire, its cities founded in blood. Though the struggles were long, eventually the Kingdom became united. As the years past, the kingdom slowly recovered from the constant blood shed. Men were no longer pulled from their homes and were left to till the fields with their families. No longer were vast amounts of money spent equipping armies. Taxes imposed to gather this money were instead scrapped. Slowly, the kingdom began to prosper. It became a rich land. But it was not to last.

This is the story of the downfall of this land.

Characters are made from the list below. Each ‘class’ needs to have at least one person in before someone can ‘double up’ on a class. Equipment is dependant on the class and you can choose what you like, as long as it is reasonable (No, a peasant isn’t likely to have a high quality sword and a rogue isn’t likely to have much in the way of armour).

Peasant - General D. Eath
Man-At-Arms - Hewitt
Archer - dragonsjem
Arquebusier - Inspectre
A Cavalryman - Spirited Zombie
Prince - Phag
Knight Templar - Blake
Easterner - D'oh Nazi
Priest - anarcharnate
Scout/path-finder - Gryfinn
Forester - Darkling
Rogue - Disruptor
Mage - Flaag
Engineer – Bakan
