They are continuously clumping into long-term blocks that lead to a bi-polar universe and incredibly unimaginative politics. The dynamics of politics disappeared and most alliances seem to make as many agreements as they can out of fear of incoming and consequently reduce their own options and preclude them from doing anything that would be even a little risky. Basically, politics based on the fear of failure rather than the hope for success.
