Well, we do currently manage to predict the weather. Despite all the standard jokes about weather forecasting, it normally does manage to be pretty accurate. The daily forecast is generally correct to within some margin of error, and large-scale events like Hurricane Katrina are often predicted weeks/months in advance. If by 'prediction' you mean 'prediction with 100% accuracy' then thats different, but it wouldnt be possible to say just now whether this could happen (perhaps someone will discover some high level features about weather which make it fairly predictable).
