If your only incentive for earning some money is to fix your computer screen and buy a new guitar, no wonder you aren't trying very hard.

Name the last 20 places you've applied for and been rejected from.
Have you followed it up and asked why you didn't get the job?
Have you taken steps to fix this reason for your rejection?
