Yeah, sure you could prolly solo with every race out there, but what does it matter when the alliance HCs that are picking strategies sees the same obvious flaw in the set?

Lets use this epic set as an example then:
Xan FI can solo Terran FR, but not Zik FR. Xan FI cant attack Terran forted players, or any terran wich got a Zik planet nearby. FAIL
Xan DE can solo Zik FR planets, but not Terran FR(Wyvern). Same logic, Xan DE cant attack zik/ter planets.
ETD BS cant attack Terran, neither can TER BS. ETD DE cant attack TER.
So we have ruled out xan/etd as viable options for any allie strat vs zik/ter forts.
So that leaves you with one option only, ZIK/TER heavy allies. It means jacksh*t that ETD/XAN can solo each other with no problem, IT MEANS NOTHING AT ALL!
If you only aim the balance race vs race, you are destined for failure, and the univers will be ruled by "wombo-combos". Unless the statsmakers start focusing on building sets around the alliances out there, instead of blaming the alliances for when their sets fail, we will end up in a downward spiral.
