Add up ALL the votes and divide this number by the total seats available in the houses of parliament or whatever it's called.

Now Add up all the votes for each party, now appropriate seats by votes gained.

See if the amount of seats for left leaning political parties total more now than what it currently does.
I'm not actually sure what this would accomplish, except to give me a headache.
