Actually despite being a complete pain and an absolute ****ing liability in the first half of the round, in the second half of the round Alki actually got much less incoming, because he had a very big fleet and in fact became an asset.
Apart from the large attack by however many alliances bothered to launch on us, we were able to cross defend with ease, with a terran. We actually got to a stage where it appeared as if we never got incoming despite constantly being on the wrong end of alliance raids because we were leaking so few roids we were actually gaining roids regardless of us being hit.
If you played like Alki and you had a galaxy good enough to put up with him (and we only just did) once we rode out the storm, our terran planets became fantastic planets for defence.
