Yeah, working generally sucks. Ocassionally you'll get a break and get some bit of luck come your way, but not often.
The worse thing about working is that unless you are fortunate (e.g. no travel or food costs) expenditure always seems to expand after you've been paid. When I was a student, I would happily make do with the food that was in the cupboard. When I started working, I simply spent money on take-away, etc.
