Re: DVD players that play XVid, DivX, avi etc

My HDD/DVD recorder says the same and it plays XVID's fine. As CjC said DivX and Xvid are pretty much the same thing but ones commerical and the others not.

One thing though most such players will play standard Xvids (so the 350mb tv episodes of things like 24/lost ect ect) but they wont play the HR versions with AC3 audio (So the 700mb of the same series)
