As for the irc-log you posted there, at this point he knew CT were already committed to hit xVx(Grog confirmed this in pm earlier) and he would say just about anything to stop 3 allies from ganging up on us, and yes that includes giving you the illusion of us standing stronger politically than we did. It doesnt take a rocketscientist to see that it wasnt the case.
