I read a study several years ago where they wanted to see how long it took people, on average to get in theri car and move. The part of the study I remember is that they were surprised to find that the average was quite a bit longer if there was someone waiting behind them than if there wasn't. The average person actually slowed down and took longer to get in their car and leave!
