Agreed. Instead of a free round, make it a paid one, with all income (note: income, not profit) going to coding time. This can potentially (assuming intelligent changes are being made) result in a much higher (and more permanent) increase in playerbase than simply making it free for one round, which, as others have said, will have the exact same impact as the prevous free rounds: close to none.
