I´m opposed to removing it entirely. As I mentioned in the threat it came up in (before I actually noticed this one), for people who are actually leaving for a few days and can´t rely on a strong galaxy and/or alliance, the result could be totally annihilating. People only think about ships and roids, but what about getting waved with SKs while you´re out? Prolonging the minimum time sounds like a better option to prevent people from abusing the vacation mode option, while leaving it to use for people who actually need a few days off PA for legit reasons.
Additionally you could consider introcuding a maximum amount of vacations per round, but that´s just a quick thought. I´m not sure if it´s needed or useful at all.
