(i actually quite like your system; we only compensate for wrongful imprisonment from wrongful conviction which is a massive inconsistency. If we deny bail during a trial and a chap is found innocent we just send them on their merry way with a shrug and not even an official apology for all those days, weeks, months spent at her majesty's pleasure ...)

By mocking you I sought to highlight a failure in the British system. We have a lot to learn from eachother our two nations. Now just ban guns for me and I'll look into getting your system implemented here.
