Fr was strong, but not inferior in every way as you so nicely put it.
BS had the edge over FR and not visa versa. Same applies for Cr to some extent. (Roach with 150%~ eff against most FR ships)
Even FI had edge on FR, as you only had to outflak Rangers before getting init advantage.
So my question is, where is your point?

If CR/BS had a edge over FR, why was 3/4 of the top100 either xan or etd?
It can look like what you claim to be best on paper dosnt realy fit the reality of the result of the round.
That so many allies went for a race combo wich did not have a edge over any of the other options seems wierd
