Ahm Hillary Clinton y'all.

I admit that I am a Hillary Rodom hater. But she was particularly offensive this weekend. She attended cermonies commemorating the 1965 Freedom March in Selma, Alabama.

I do not doubt that Hillary is an advocate of civil rights or that she honestly thinks that she has policies which would advance the plight of Blacks in the U. S. However, this weekends festivities had Hillary doing two things which I found particularly irritating.

Irritation #!: She spoke at a Black church in Selma. Now Hillary is not a religious person. This is actually a good thing in my book, a redeeming quality, if you would. She began her speech with "I come to you as a sister in the Church." She then pandered to the Black congregation by making numerous references to "God" and her deep belief. She even quoted from a Negro spiritual. It seems insulting to pander so shamelessly to southern Blacks who are truely religious.

Irritation #2: She, in much of her speech, assumed a Southern accent and speech pattern. Not a very realistic one. One that sounded like she watched a movie where someone playing a southerner gave a bad portrayal of a southern accent. How stupid does she think people are? It was insulting to anyone from the south to hear her attempting to use a southern drawl of a type associated with hicks. (Not Dante.)

She is clearly trying to compete with Obama for the Black vote.

Even Obama, who is one of the most articulate speekers on the American political stage, was trying to talk "Black". In his speech he said something about whether or not he had been to Selma "befo." He stopped short of saying that people had "axt" him about it, however.

In as much as I accept the very real possibility that one of these individuals may be my president in a few years, I would prefer that they speak more articulately than the current office holder. At least George is honestly inarticulate.
