I thoroughly enjoyed first year, second year was ok, first half of third year was hell, the second half was the worst 4 months of my life and fourth year was a post hell struggle when i basically did what i'm doing now (nothing) except living with a horrible lesbian. I'm not seeing the moral lesson here

You are entirely correct i hate new things on principle - im not good with new faces, places, ideas etc and i definitely prefer to be stuck in ruts - but i dont get why this is neccesarily a bad thing? To re-evaluate the stirling experiment, i've come back 4 years later £20k lighter with a paper degree that means nothing to me and should mean nothing to any employer. The only positives i can take from the experience are that i learned how to cook, i gained some life experience re things like flat maintenance, bills, and i can now effectively play the holding midfield role at 7 a side. I'm more miserable than when i left for the sake of what, some mystical 'self advancement' or whatever. The likelihood is even if i go to wales i'll come back with a degree and there'll be another one of these threads and decisions, and i'm struggling to see the point.
