It amused me when I was asked what I'd been doing for a year in my time off work a few months ago.

"Fighting cancer." was the simple reply*.

They shuffled their papers a bit, and no more was said on the matter.




*i'm exaggerating, i was terribly nice about it in reality and broke them in gently explaining what had happened. i wish i had the balls to be so offish though!
