calculating how much water is in ice is not terribly hard. Knowing that the ice will melt because the temperature goes up isnt either
its a simple linear progression from measurements taken today and the rate of temperature increase. From that you extrapolate how much ice will melt over 100 years and work out how much water that is. Add that to the water calculated to be in the oceans and you can find out what the height will be, simple
