I think the main reason behind people voting BNP at the local elections was more to show government they are not happy with how things currently stand. BNP will be popular in working class areas, where the average person works in a warehouse and then goes the pub for 6-7 hours. Cant really see anyone with half a brain cell actually voting them in the general election.
