How exactly do you "fall behind" when you have a 8k roid lead on CT and a 25k roid lead on Ult?? You realize that aslong as you maintain a roid lead you are out mining your competitors, therefore you will have bigger fleets making it harder to hit you, right?
Even if they catch you on roids they still have to then go past you and keep them in order for them to start catching up....
