Again, Iran would be more of a graveyard than Iraq ever could be for US troops. Bush will have to negotiate. It's the only option open to him and his allies at the moment.
If that fails, it's UN sanctions for a couple of years. Which no doubt will happen.
From there..it all depends on the political situation of America and EU countries in a few years time...

How do you impose sanctions on Iran when its main export it Oil, and sanctions wont be backed due to the self interest the bigger countries in having a continued supply of oil?
Iran chose its moment well, sanctions, if they come at all, are years away.
