Don't they want like a 29% pay rise in 3 years?

I can't stand strikers. Then again I hate trade unions, or at least when they become involved in wage negotiations.

Lecturers are a weird situation though. We know they don't do it for the money because they can earn so much more in a different field (typically). If they do want more money they can publish more.

So the ones that do choose to have a career as a lecturer and not spend all their time writing things to make money do it because they don't care about money, they enjoy teaching and care about the students? THEN STOP STRIKING!
